Cake
The cake was so very simple and classic. I ordered a vanilla cake with white vanilla fondant. Also I added the neoprils (silver) round candies for decoration and my name written on the cake board. I went to Party City ; to purchase the 45 bling cake topper.
I was so happy with how the cake turned out and it tasted amazing !
Cupcakes
The cupcakes were super easy to make!
- I always make a dozen vanilla cupcakes and I frosted with white frosting. HERE is a link to my blog post with my recipe for my cupcakes and frosting !
- I also used round white sprinkles on the top of the cupcake.
- I then Googled and found free cupcake toppers and printed them out on cardstock on my printer and cut them out.
- I hot glued the toppers to a candy stick and voila; cupcake toppers. They add such a simple elegance to the cupcakes without much effort! Which is something I can get behind!
Centerpieces
The centerpiece was so very easy as well.
- I purchased a round vase from the Dollar Store. I used faux bling wrap to wrap the vase and adhered with hot glue.
- I got the beautiful black satin ribbon from Michaels and also hot glued to the top.
- I printed out a Chanel logo and glued it in the center. I always buy my florals from Costco as it’s always so economical ! I grabbed a dozen roses; some white and hot pink.
That’s it for the centrepiece!
DIY Signage
I also love printing out signs for the decor. So very inexpensive. I used frames I had purchased at IKEA . I printed off free Chanel quotes; printed on my printer and inserted in the frames.
I had purchased this frame from Winners many years ago and I just love the frame paired with the quote!
Candy Table Display
- I used many elements in the decor of the Cake Table.
- I found faux pearls from the Dollar Store and had them strewn about.
- I also found mirrors at the Dollar Tree. I picked up Damask napkins from Party City.
- I also found square and round vases from the Dollar Store and added some simple black satin ribbon and placed rock candies in them and licorice candies and I think it turned out lovely.
I had an apothecary jar left over from our wedding; I printed out a cute sign and added ribbon to the top. I added some plain white hard candies which I was able to find at the dollar tree in the wedding section.
Guest Table Setting
I kept the guest table setting very simple.
- I used a silver charger, damask paper plate, damask napkin, damask paper cup for juice or water and a silver plastic cup for wine.
- I placed the guest favor on the plate. I also used a damask paper table cloth. Most of these items I found at my local Dollar Tree!
Guest Favors
I also love setting out little favors at the guest table settings.
- I got some damask favor bags and a small cardboard box; all from the Dollar Store and
- I glued the Chanel logo to the front and added white pillow candies, also from the Dollar Store! So very simple and classy and inexpensive.
Punch Station
I also love doing a simple punch station.
- All I added was ribbons to a sign I printed out on card stock and I purchased simple jars from the Dollar Store and hot glued Chanel logos to the front.
- I was also able to find these black and white straws and I added a simple Chanel logo flag to it for extra cuteness! I found the flag template on Google.
Balloon Bouquet
I am also a fan of having some helium filled balloons. Balloons are inexpensive and just add so much to a birthday party! I always buy my balloons if I can find the ones I want, from the Dollar Tree and the day before the party, I have the helium balloons filled.
Candelabras
I had a cheap silver candelabra hanging around home and decided to chalk paint it white and add a small inexpensive white rose ball to the top and I think it made the table extra elegant.
Thank you for stopping by my Blog and I sure hope I inspire you and you can take some of my ideas for the next birthday party you are planning! Be sure to post pictures, I would love to see!
