I had the most amazing baby shower for my son and wanted to share with you all of the decor and planning ideas!
I used the same theme for his Shower as for his Nursery. The classic storybook, “Peter Rabbit”.

Venue Inspiration
Welcome Sign
I love the simplicity of the guest sign in table. I put this next to the Welcome sign at the entrance to the venue. I purchased the digital file from ETSY and had it personalized and printed off the file on cardstock. I found a Peter Rabbit story book and had everyone sign right in the book! Such a neat keepsake for my son.
Cake, Cookies and Cupcakes
I absolutely fell in love with the cake I had designed for the event. Just so simple and also adds color and texture to the decor. I went on Pinterest and found many cake designs I liked and sent those choices to my baker, who then was able to recreate one of the inspirational pictures for me.
I always make sure I add personalized cookies when I do an event! They are a cost effective way to add to the decor and of course they are ever so cute!
Guest Tables
I had such a great time designing the guest tables. I always add a charger under each plate as it adds a touch of color to the design. I will link all of my supplies at the bottom of this post. I used paper plates, napkins and a guest favour bag all in the Peter Rabbit theme I found on Amazon.
Centerpieces
Here the centrepieces are highlighted. I like to always aim for some sort of centrepiece on a table, even something simple just adds to the decor on the table. In this instance, I used a wood slab as of course Peter Rabbit lives in the woods and it definitely adds that rustic touch.
I kept things simple by using plain vases that you can find at the dollar store; add some water and placed a tea light candle inside for some soft lighting. I also cut out Peter Rabbit figurines printed out on cardstock and simply hot glued to the outside of the vase. I also added a thin baby blue ribbon to the top rim with hot glue.
I was so pleased with the outcome!
Satin Bow Chairs
I wanted to highlight here how elegant the chairs turned out. Just simply tying a satin bow to the left absolutely added such a sweet touch to the chairs. I hope you feel inspired by my decorating tips. I also kept the linens simple by using a plain white table cloth and adding a simple blue table runner to it. Again, it ties in the blue color scheme so nicely.
Peter Rabbit Backdrop
I was able to find this amazing Peter Rabbit backdrop ; it is an amazing generous size and I was able to hang it easily beside the guest tables. Although this exact design is not longer available on Amazon, I have linked an alternative backdrop for you.
Cake Table
The cake table was a simple small round table with a white round tablecloth and a simple blue runner. We placed it beside my head table.
Buffet Table
I chose to simply take a long buffet table and use a white linen for decoration, I clipped one of the baby blankets I had purchased on the front of the table to add that decorative element to it. We had a lunch buffet and I had it catered with an assortment of sandwiches, salads and fruit cups. It made for a very simple food display and it really helped to have the caterer prepare the food. I had some serving platters and to add interest and height to the table, I placed the food on them.
Beverage Station
I opted to provide bottle water and fruit punch that I added blue food coloring to. I had the printers print out the water bottle labels for me and I removed the old labels and added mine. They turned out adorable!
I had my water bottles personalized on Etsy! I found a seller who personalized party items and had her add the name to the label. I had the file emailed to my printing company who printed them out on sticky labels which saved me so much time as all I had to do was remove the old water bottle label and adhere the new ones right over top.
Sweetheart Table
I decorated a sweetheart table as my head table. It turned out so adorable. I used a backdrop with linens and hung the wooden name sign I had made for his nursery on the linen. Added a simple table cloth, greenery and a Peter Rabbit banner I purchased on Amazon HERE. The exact one I purchased is no longer available, but I did find an alternative one for you!
The cupcakes I made myself and turned out absolutely adorable. Please see my blog post on how I make my simple cupcake recipe and frosting!
Favor bags included a personalized chocolate bar and Hershey’s kisses with personalized stickers. I had the wrappers and stickers printed for me and I ordered the personalized items off of ETSY!
Favors
I had so much fun making the favors! I ordered personalized Peter Rabbit Hershey’s kisses stickers off of Etsy! They were printed on round stickers and sent in sheets and I purchased the candies and applied the stickers to the back of them.
I also ordered Hershey’s sized personalized Peter Rabbit chocolate bar wrappers! So cute with my son’s name on them. I received the digital file and then I had them printed off at my local printers and I applied them to the chocolate bars and hot glued the back. They turned out so sweet!
I then took the Hershey kisses and chocolate bar and put them inside the Peter Rabbit bags I also purchased.
Lastly, I wanted to share the adorable “wishes for the baby” I also had made in the Peter Rabbit theme. I purchased these also on Etsy. I received a digital file and then printed them off at my printers. I also wrapped them together with the shower games we played and I added a blue ribbon and a pen. So happy with how sweet this presentation turned out!
